| 4 team round robin | 6 | 3 | 2 | None |
| 5 team round robin | 10 | 5 | 2 | 1 |
| 6 team round robin | 15 | 5 | 3 | None |
| 7 team round robin | 21 | 7 | 3 | 1 |
| 8 team round robin | 28 | 7 | 4 | None |
| 9 team round robin | 36 | 9 | 4 | 1 |
| 10 team round robin | 45 | 9 | 5 | None |
| 11 team round robin | 55 | 11 | 5 | 1 |
| 12 team round robin | 66 | 11 | 6 | None |
| 13 team round robin | 78 | 13 | 6 | 1 |
| 14 team round robin | 91 | 13 | 7 | None |
| 15 team round robin | 105 | 15 | 7 | 1 |
| 16 team round robin | 120 | 15 | 8 | None |
| 17 team round robin | 136 | 17 | 8 | 1 |

For example, 10 teams play 45 games over 9 rounds. As a double round robin, that's 90 games over 18 rounds.
With an odd number of teams, one team sits out each round. That's called a bye. Every team gets one bye each time through, and no team sits out twice in a row.
Every team plays every other team twice, usually once at home and once away. Make a double round robin.
For a one-day event, split teams into pools, play a round robin in each, then semifinals and a final. Make a tournament schedule.
For doubles nights, players get a new partner each round and sit-outs rotate evenly. Make a pickleball round robin.
Multiply the number of teams by one less than that number, then divide by 2. Eight teams play 28 games. In a double round robin, where everyone plays twice, it's 56.
With an even number of teams, it takes one less round than there are teams, so 8 teams need 7 rounds. With an odd number, it takes as many rounds as teams, because one team has a bye each round.
A bye is a round where a team doesn't play. It only happens with an odd number of teams. Each team gets one bye every time through the schedule, and no team sits out twice in a row.
Every team plays every other team twice, usually once at home and once away. It doubles the games, so 6 teams play 30 games instead of 15.
Divide the number of games by the number of courts, then multiply by the game length plus the break. Twelve teams in 2 pools on 3 courts, with 25-minute games and 5-minute breaks, finish pool play and playoffs in about six hours. The generator shows the exact finish time.
Players get a new partner each round and play against different opponents. With more players than spots on the courts, sit-outs rotate so everyone sits about the same number of times. Late arrivals can join the next round without changing the rounds already played.
