Paste the roster. Stack the positions.

Everything stays in this browser — nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to make. Your chart saves itself as you go.

How it works

Three minutes, not three evenings.

Most depth chart templates hand you an empty grid and wish you luck with the typing. This one starts from the roster you already have somewhere.

01

Paste the roster

Copy it out of a spreadsheet, a team app export, or a group text. Jersey numbers and positions get pulled out on their own, and you check the result before it lands.

02

Stack the positions

Drag a name into a slot, or tap it and tap where it goes. Drop onto someone and they swap places instead of disappearing.

03

Print it and go

Print, PDF, an image you can text your assistants, or a CSV. No watermark, no email gate, no account.

01

Bulk paste that actually parses

Tab, comma, or column-aligned. Numbers first or last. Header rows dropped. “Last, First” detected and flipped. Every guess is shown in an editable preview first.

02

Depth set per position

Your catcher depth and your outfield depth are not the same story. Chart any position one to five deep without dragging the whole board with it.

03

Two-way players welcome

The same athlete can hold a spot on more than one unit — which is normal below varsity. Anyone charted twice gets badged so it stays a decision, not an accident.

04

Built for the sideline

Drag and drop works on a tablet the same way it does on a laptop, and every drag has a tap-and-place equivalent for when you are wearing gloves.

05

Nothing leaves your browser

The roster is never uploaded. Autosave is local, and a share link carries the chart inside the URL itself rather than through our servers.

06

A printout worth carrying

Black on white, landscape, one unit per page, starters weighted. It reads from arm's length on a clipboard in the sun.

Questions

About softball depth charts.

Everything below is how the tool actually behaves — not how we wish it behaved.

Does this handle the DP/FLEX rule?

Yes — designated player and flex are charted as their own positions, so you can plan the substitution before you are standing at the plate meeting trying to remember it.

How deep should a fastpitch depth chart go?

Two or three deep covers most rosters. Set any position independently from one to five deep, because your catcher depth and your outfield depth are rarely the same story.

Can I print it?

Print it, download it as a PDF, save it as an image to text your assistant coaches, or export a CSV. All free, all without an account.

Same builder, different board.

Coaching more than one season a year? Every sport gets its own positions, units, and printout.

When the depth chart reveals the next job

A depth chart records what you already decided.

Ordering your roster by position is the easy half. Deciding that order — from shared evaluation scores instead of one coach's memory — is what Team Builder and Draft Manager do.

Ready for your next season
