Why chart depth instead of just picking a starting XI?
Because the starting XI is the easy part. A depth chart shows you the position where one injury or one absence leaves you with nobody — which is the thing worth knowing in week two, not week nine.
Can I chart more than one formation?
Yes. 4-4-2, 4-3-3, and 3-5-2 are each their own tab, sharing the same squad, so you can see how depth shifts when the shape does.
Does it work on a tablet?
Yes. Drag and drop is built for touch, so it works on an iPad on the sideline as well as it does on a laptop.
