A week and a half of data entry, then a schedule built by hand.
Franklin Recreation runs a basketball program for more than 750 children in grades K–8. Players in grades 3–8 were evaluated in person with clipboards and pencils. When evaluations ended, staff spent the next week and a half typing every score into their system.
Scheduling was harder. Around 500 games a season, with volunteers coaching in more than one division and parents with kids in more than one league, meant building the schedule by hand and then combing through it for conflicts one by one.
In previous seasons, we conducted in-person player evaluations for grades 3–8 using nothing more than clipboards and pencils.

Player evaluations
Evaluators scored players directly in the Bravara app and the results were available instantly, so there was nothing to re-key afterward. How Bravara evaluations work.
AI scheduling
Bravara generated the season schedule while accounting for coaches who volunteer in multiple divisions and families with children in multiple leagues, the conflicts staff used to hunt down by hand. How the AI Schedule Builder works.
The system generated our schedules while accounting for these conflicts, resulting in zero scheduling conflicts for coaches or parents with children participating in multiple leagues.
Countless hours back for staff.
- No manual data entry after evaluations, down from a week and a half.
- Zero scheduling conflicts for coaches or for parents with children in multiple leagues.
- About 500 games scheduled without building or checking the schedule by hand.
Our coaches love the system, our scheduling process has never been easier, and we couldn't be happier with the product.
