Sports Connect Alternatives for 2027
Sports Connect (formerly Blue Sombrero) is being retired for Little League and AYSO. Starting with the 2027 season, their registration moves to PlayMetrics, which merged with Stack Sports in 2025.
Only registration has to stay on the official platform. Evaluations, the draft, teams, schedules, and chat can run anywhere. Here's what each league can do.

Our league has used the same old system for years and that all changed with Bravara. This app made our assessment and draft process a breeze. How to switch from Sports Connect
You don't migrate registration. Keep registering in Sports Connect this season, export the registration report, and import it into Bravara; Bravara matches the columns, so there's no reformatting. Run evaluations, the draft, and the schedule in Bravara, then export final team assignments as a Sports Connect import file matched by player ID. In 2027, register in PlayMetrics, import its registration export the same way, and export final rosters as a standard CSV; Bravara doesn't have a PlayMetrics-specific import file yet. Before Sports Connect goes away, save your history: most reports export to Excel, and verification documents are only kept for 6 months.
Sports Connect vs PlayMetrics for Little League and AYSO
Both are now one company. Sports Connect handles Little League and AYSO registration through the 2026 season; PlayMetrics takes over in 2027. Neither has a live draft, so many leagues pair either one with Bravara for evaluations, the draft, and the schedule.

What changes for Little League in 2027
Chartered Little Leagues register through Central Registration, which moves from Sports Connect to PlayMetrics for the 2027 season. Data Center eligibility and JDP background checks stay with the official setup. Nothing requires evaluations, the draft, schedules, or chat to run there. Download verification documents now: Sports Connect keeps them only 6 months.
What changes for AYSO regions
AYSO says the Sports Connect platform will be sunset in 2027 and has chosen PlayMetrics. inLeague has been an approved AYSO registration platform since 2002; AYSO hasn't said whether that continues after the move, so check with your Area or Section first.
